MON SEUL DESIR

2016, COSTIERES DE NIMES, FRANCE

THE PRODUCER

Chateau Montfrin came to us purely by chance on a visit to a wine fair and then again on a trip to the region when we spent some time at the winery. Like many wineries, you have to see the vines to really understand the wines. The vineyards sit in a truly amazing region of Southern France, right on the point where the Rhone Valley, the Languedoc and Provence meet. The result are seriously healthy vines that can be all organically grown. Cool nights and a little coastal breeze creates wines that are more delicate and lighter than their Western and Nortern counterparts yet still quite powerful compared to the wines closer to the coast. Guaranteed to impress on tasting and just a really enjoyable range to explore!
